Senior Developer

Developed an application utilizing Oracle Forms, to automate the

travel request and vouchering system for the Department of

Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Developed and provided technical support for 19 Department of

Agriculture inspection stations, for an automated, streamlined system

to capture unpaid taxes on commodities purchased outside the state of

Florida and shipped into the state. This application utilizes Visual

Basic, SQL Server and Oracle, and has allowed the state to collect

over one hundred million dollars in taxes.

Developed an electronic document management application utilizing

Visual Basic in a client-server environment, to simplify and expedite

the process of searching, retrieving and viewing voucher documents

for the Department of Children and Families, Administrative Services

Support Center.

Converted the Dept. of Revenue Bill of Lading tracking system from

four local Access databases to one centralized ORACLE database.

Analyzed existing Access database schema and data, and converted to

ORACLE. Modified Visual Basic code to utilize an ORACLE database.

Developed an indexing, quality assurance and research application

utilizing Visual Basic, SQL Server and ORACLE for the viewing and

indexing of the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement microfilm images

converted to digital images.

Developed a dynamic tree view utilizing ASP and JavaScript for an

AHCA medical fraud tracking system to show sequence of activities.

Developed and assisted with an array of applications in a client

server environment utilizing ORACLE and SQL Server databases, Visual

Basic, SQL and PL/SQL.

Re-engineered code utilizing COBOL in VAX\VMS and IBM\MVS

environments to improve the efficiency of tasks performed within

various Lottery departments, and to enhance the capabilities of

Lottery's Distributed Check Writer and Internal Control Systems.

Tasks involve, but are not limited to, utilizing embedded SQL

concepts, manipulating ORACLE Rdb tables, and modifying\creating

forms through FMS (Forms Management Utility).

Troubleshooting problems occurring within nightly production jobs in

an IBM\MVS environment while in an on-call status, by analyzing

various reports and JCL listings.

Developed a Merchandise Inventory Control System (MICS) utilizing

Visual Basic 4.0\5.0 and SQL, based upon analysis of procedures

composed of by sales, marketing, and information resource persons.

This system provides accurate tracking and reporting of budgets for

and usage of promotional and retail lottery merchandise.

Provided technical support for the training and deployment of the

MICS system, throughout lottery district locations. Support involved

setting up network connections for user PCs and the installation of

MICS and middleware software.

Produced reports representing the contents and summarizing costs and

benefits of promotional and retail events, based upon MICS DB2 tables

utilizing Crystal Reports.

Developed and revised programs based on analysis of agency needs,

using FOCUS in an IBM\MVS environment.
