1994 - 2009 Tuthill Controls Group, Tacoma, WA
Project Engineer
. Designed unique machines and machineries such as:
o Best in class wrap lines to produce innermember and conduit.
These machines allowed the company to double productivity with
unparalleled quality and safety. 14 machines where build
according to my design; the efficiency and safety of these
machines and quality of the resulting product made the company
number one supplier of high quality cables in the world.
o Unique wire flatteners with easy control of thickness of the
wire.
o Unique patch puller to clean conduit inside a cable from oil and
other contaminants, which increased life and quality of the
cable.
o Unique oscillated machine to test rod bearings under static load
up to 100,000 lb. Thanks to this machine the company obtained
Military Certification of rod bearings in unprecedentedly short
amount of time.
o Unique gear reducers, hydraulic and pneumatic presses for cable
assembly and rod bearing lines.
. Designed equipment for proofload and functional test cables.
. Designed unique tools and tooling to reduce production time and to
increase quality of products such as welding, brazing, drilling jigs,
rotary and brock swage dies, tubing bending fixtures, etc.
. Designed jigs and fixtures for CNC machines to produce cable parts.
