To Whom It May Concern:
Currently, I work as a hostess at a white tablecloth restaurant in
Novi, The No.IV Chop House during the evening, and as a freelance associate
court reporter in the daytime. After review of my resume, you will see that
my previous work experience has enabled me to perform successfully in a
fast-paced environment, but remain friendly and professional while creating
a rapport with people. As Head Hostess, my current employer trusts me to
take care of our guests when they are away, and to lead the team of hosts
to be professional and friendly, fast, and efficient. I do basic clerical
tasks on a daily basis, along with certain secretarial tasks like handling
the multi-line telephone, data entry, and taking messages.
In addition to being certified in stenography from the State of
Michigan, I am a proficient typist; I have taken medical and legal terms
courses; I proofread legal transcripts daily; and my current job as a
freelance court reporter makes my schedule flexible. I am also a great
communicator, and I posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
I have worked with many different job specific computer programs and am
confident that I will be able to acclimate myself quickly to any job
specific programs. This, I believe, makes me well suited for this
position. I am motivated to use these skills and others to be successful in
any task. I have a positive attitude, work well with others and I am always
willing to learn.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to review my resume. I look
forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience by e-mail or by
phone.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Lapworth
