Brigade Civil Affairs Non-Commissioned Officer-in Charge, U.S. Army Special Operations

Command, Fort Bragg, NC

Provided management and oversight for 6 U.S. Army Civil Affairs Teams in Al-Anbar province, Iraq while

assigned as the Brigade Civil Affairs Manager deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Performed

as the Proposal Manager. Provided guidance to the Brigade Commander and Staff on civil military

operations planning. Trained over 200 Iraqi Army soldiers in civil affairs operations.

• Responsible for planning, management and distribution of millions of dollars of civil

military contracts and hundreds of civil military projects.

• Responsible for conducting data management for project proposals submitted by project

leads, in order to ensure the submission of winning project proposals.

• Acted as primary advisor to senior Department of Defense and Department of State

personnel on civil military operations.

• Coordinated Civil Military efforts throughout Al-Anbar province with Senior Department of

Defense and Department of State personnel, Iraqi officials from district to national level,

and non-governmental organizations.

• Planned and conducted open source collection of historical data and dissemination of

product to relevant brigade staff functions.

• Coordinated and interfaced Civil Information Management with the brigade staff’s

Commander, Special Operations Command-Europe. Planned and led numerous civil-military operations

and civil reconnaissance missions in austere and hostile environments throughout Africa and Southwest

Asia in support of the combatant commanders. Performed as the Project Manager on numerous civil

military projects. Led many personal security details, protecting high ranking Department of State and

Department of Defense personnel. Planned and conducted force protection and security assessments for

isolated team houses throughout the United States Central Command area of responsibility, and

implemented changes to force protection posture of isolated teams.
