Control
Direct activities and establish Annual Measures of Performance for
Planning/Scheduling, Warehousing
and Inventory functions. (9) Planners and (3) Supervisors. Measures include
Inventory Accuracy
Schedule Attainment, Inventory levels, Forecast accuracy,
Safety Stock reduction, Departmental Budget Attainment and Customer
Service. Responsible for all Logistics and Warehousing activities, prepared
and justified annual Supply Chain budget.
Asked by company management to accept additional responsibilities as
Business Process Owner for Shop Floor Control (SAP-MES), for North America.
Responsible for all division (FAG, LUK and INA) facilities in Mexico,
Canada and the U.S. Also accepted role as SAP Business Warehouse (BW)
Process Owner for manufacturing portion of BW. Observed internal and
external best practices and new methodologies to apply across enterprise.
Controlled incoming and outbound freight costs. Achieved $225,000 Premium
Freight reduction in 2008.
Attained 4.9% on time delivery improvement (87.5% to 92.4%) by using
Process flow analysis to reduce in house manufacturing lead time and
Forecast Accuracy measurement to better anticipate demand.
Reduced Finished Product Inventory 6% by reducing Safety Stock levels and
Lot Sizes.
Strengthen Supply Chain by working with Central Purchasing and outside
Suppliers to develop better Demand Planning that results in more accurate
delivery at lower total cost. Identify problem Suppliers and make
recommendations for Contract renewals. Assist three other INA sites with
this process.
Subject Matter Expert on company Manufacturing/Shipping software systems,
warehousing and procedures. One of two company resources designated as

New approach: group instruction and did follow up individually. Increased
acceptance of the system. Due to understanding and ability to customize to
their use.
Directed Systems activities of the Manufacturing Systems Coordinators.
Enabled coordinators to understand system complexities, correct system

Established Physical Inventory procedures for all locations. Cycle counts,

Direct the proper use of Planning and Scheduling techniques to reduce
Inventories and maintain high Customer Service levels. Direct the
warehousing function in the proper use of the Shipping software.
Plan, budget and implement new software and hardware installation within
the confines of my systems. Example: New Shipping system (VSS)
implementation budget of $250,000 was achieved.
Assist the Planning/Scheduling function in Goal measurement and attainment.
Allowed for better management of company resources by identifying problem
areas in the Production and Inventory plans.
