Contemporary Job History

The Burleson Star, January 2007 to present. Editor - I was hired as the

photographer and feature writer for the Burleson Star and took on business

page editor responsibilities after only four months. I became the editor of

the our sister newspaper, Alvarado Star, after 16 months. I use graphic and

desktop publishing software including In Design, Adobe Photoshop and Quark

Express and I work daily with news sources, such as police, government and

community leaders.

The Weatherford Democrat, March 05 to Feb 06. Writer and business page

editor - Duties included page design, photography, news and feature

writing. I Later was the first editor of a spin-off publication, the Aledo

Extra. I used Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop graphics.

Plaza Exhibits Building, Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Jan 04 to June 04

(temporary, by contract), Public Relations Director - Duties included ad

and brochure design, web page design, event planning, managing

entertainment and planning public events.

The Community News, Aledo, Texas, 1996 to Oct 2004, Photojournalist -

Duties included writing news and features, as well as creative ad design

for large clients. As the primary reporter I maintained good relationships

with area businesses, law enforcement and government sources. As a graphics

artist I designed weekly ads for several years for Moritz Chevrolet and Buz

Post Isuzu.

Country Music Today Magazine - Jan 96 to Jan 98, Publishing Editor - Duties

included writing, page design and ad design for a monthly entertainment

magazine. I founded the magazine in north Texas which is now printed out of

Nashville. Extensive us of Mictosoft Word and Adobe Photoshop graphics.
