Diesel Mechanic

My work experiences as a diesel mechanic was to do repairs and maintain the

diesel engines that power transportation equipment. I worked on dump trucks

and fifty foot tractor trailers. Also did all kinds of repairs, working on

a vehicle's electrical system, doing major engine repairs, and repairing

tires. Also I inspected brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings,

and other important parts. Following inspection, I also repair or adjust

parts that do not work properly or remove and replace parts that cannot be

fixed. In everyday work I used power tools such as grinders, sanders,

cordless drills, and impact wrench. I used various tools such as hydraulic

jacks, overhead crane hoist, forklift operator, cutting torch, plasma

cutter, and tack welding. I used a variety of computerized testing

equipment such as scanners to pinpoint and analyze malfunctions in

electrical systems of the engines. I filled out work orders for the allowed

work hours for each job.

vehicles as well as maintenance, repair, and sometimes do modification. I

My work experience as an auto detailer was to clean the interior and

exterior of a car. I removed carpets and upholstery to be cleaned. Washed

the exterior of the car with special car wash soap, cleaned the windows. I

would buff and wax the exterior of the car and occasionally touch up small

paint chips. I also used different products to clean the exterior and

interior of the car depending on what the customer wanted to be done.

using crates, shrink wrap, and labels. I used a forklift daily to move the
