operations of two major entertainment/sporting facilities in the horse racing industry.

Major tasks included:

13 Two of the nation’s largest open-to-the-public events, the Kentucky Derby and the

Kentucky Oaks races with attendance averaging 175,000 and 160,000 patrons

respectively.

14 Providing security for the thousands of celebrity attendees including

transportation to and from the facility.

15 Also responsible for security of the $200 million plus dollars involved in

wagering.

16 Screened vendors and suppliers providing refreshments and services to attendees.

Responsible for supervising a staff of 6 to 8 armed security officers providing security in

the same environment as described above.

ANCHORAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT, Anchorage, KY

CHIEF OF POLICE 1997 –

Responsible for the overall operation of a Police Department in a city with a population

of 3,000 and reporting to the City Manager and Mayor.
