new career. I have been employed by the Owensboro Police Department for
over 22 years. I have served for over 18 years as a Sergeant and was the
lead Fraud Investigator for almost 8 years. My degree curriculum covered
topics such as Loss Prevention and Risk Management as well as Safety and

Currently serving in the Field Services Division as Traffic Unit
Supervisor. I served as a patrolman for 4 years before being promoted to
Sergeant. Since then, I have worked assignments as an Evidence Collection
Technician, Crime Prevention Unit Supervisor, Juvenile Unit Supervisor,
Patrol Shift Supervisor, General Investigator, and as a Fraud Specialist. I
served as primary Fraud Investigator for almost 8 years and developed
strong organizational and communication skills.

Nuclear Security Officer/Armed Responder, Virginia Power, Surry Nuclear
Power Station, Surry, VA. Duties were to conduct patrols to perform
security and safety inspections; investigate alarms and unauthorized
activities; detect, assess and respond to security threats; man defensive
positions and act as a member of the armed response force; engage and
neutralize adversaries; provide compensatory measures for failed or
degraded security safeguards; escort non-designated vehicles; act as field
team leader; conduct personnel, vehicle, and package searches.

Special Force Guard (Nuclear), Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock
Company, Newport News, VA. Duties were to serve as emergency coordinator
during the construction, refueling, and overhaul of nuclear ships; conduct
maintenance inspections of fire, safety and emergency equipment; maintain
surveillance for watertight integrity; control access to classified areas
and maintain security areas; supervise the handling of hazardous
materials, protect nuclear fuel; respond to emergencies while driving
mobile patrol units; compose and submit daily reports; I developed
leadership skills necessary to effectively train new employees, and
utilized and enhanced communication skills to promote good relations
between naval and company personnel. I received special training in various
areas from law enforcement to the protection of nuclear fuel. I possessed a
"Secret" clearance from the Department of Defense and I was qualified in
radiological control and firearms handling.
