of this training is to understand the working principle of CNC, lathe, drilling machine and

process used in foundry, machining workshop. How to control the quality and production.

Laboratory experience :

• FLUID MACHINES and FLUID MECHANICS – Guided by B.Halder (Professor, Dept. of

mechanical N.I.T. Durgapur) : In this lab, we performed experiments Flow through orifices and

notches, Flow through pipes, Calibration of venturimeter and pressure gauges, Flow demonstration by

Reynold’s experiment. Performance tests on air compressors, Centrifugal pumps, Pelton wheel,

Francis and Kaplan turbines

• ELECTRICAL Laboratory – Guided by J.C.B (Lecturer, Dept. of electrical N.I.T. Durgapur).

• MECHANICAL VIBRATION Laboratory* – Guided by K.KHAN (Assistant Professor, Dept. of

MECHANICAL, N.I.T. Durgapur): In this lab, we performed on Problem of structural mechanics, or

dynamics and vibrations, torsion, heat conduction, bending of plates and shells; Computer program

organization for problem solution (a short project). .

• WORKSHOP PRACTICE – Turning, Milling, Drilling, Grinding, Gear shaping, Gear

hobbing, CNC milling, CNC turning, CNC simulation software, Non-traditional

machining processes like WIRE, EDM and Pettern making, Foundry, Sheet metal

working, Soldering, Electric arc welding, M IG welding, Plazma cutting, TIG

welding, Spot welding etc.

Achievements :

• Won 1st price in a National Level Event ‘CYBORG-ROBOTICS’ organized by N.I.T. Durgapur.

• Won 1st price in Science Exhibition organized by State Government Authority of U.P.

• Got scholarship by ‘Sunil Memorial Educational Welfare’.

Technical skills :

• I can work with MODELING SOFTWERE ( CATIA, PRO-E, AUTOCAD);ANALYSIS SOFTWERE

(ANSYS);MATLAB.

• Programming and software skills – C, C++, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office.
