Objective

Position: Marketing Assistant
Assist with all aspects of AREA communications department as well as
marketing, editorial and production of AREA's monthly publication, Alabama
Living. Monthly magazine duties include but are not limited to: maintaining
records of advertisers and advertising contracts; building proof file for
local/state advertisers; assist food editor in selection and typing of
recipes; occasional setting of editorial articles; sort, count and tally
postage returns using Excel; maintain databases and shipping orders of AREA
Church Book and Alabama Living Cookbooks. AREA assignment include but are
not limited to: assisting events manager in organizing and preparing for
conferences and bi-monthly board meetings; assist in AREA sponsored
Montgomery and Washington D.C. Youth Leadership Conferences; compiling
information for AREA annual directory and calendar, as well as maintain
advertising for each; help in day-to-day operations of office including
phone and customer service.
