Experience
2008-Gill Industries, Trenton, GA
At this job I am currently in charge of the Accounts Payable. This involves
working closely with the receiving department as the inventory control is
linked to receiving and payables. Daily entry into the Mapics computer
system and balancing with reports at month end are an important job
function. This is a manufacturing environment. I also, do the daily
invoicing for Accounts Receivable.
2005-2008 Williams Typesetting Company, Chattanooga, TN
At this job I was in charge of the Accounts Payable. This also, involved
adding buyouts to different jobs that are in process. Adding items to
inventory or consignment and removing items from consignment. I was in
charge of the month end closeout for the Payables. This information was
then given to the controller for the financial statements. I have set up
spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel that have streamlined the payable process
and current cash figures are readily available. Our software for the day-
to-day operations was Logic.
2005-2005 Favorite Markets, Ringgold, GA
I worked for Favorite Market from March to May of 2005. I did all areas of
work related to a convenience store. Cashiering, inside cleaning work and
outside cleaning work. This also involved shift change paperwork.
2001-2004 W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, Kalamazoo, MI
I was the fiscal accountant for the Michigan Works Program. This included
cash requests, quarterly expenditure reports, program closeouts, and
accounts payable. This is a federally funded program and there are fiscal
reports required by the state to be reported quarterly and in turn reported
to the federal government. Accountant to the research division includes
accounts receivable, reconcile funded projects and grants and provide
monthly reports for the administration and economists to review. We use
Micro Information Products for our software and most of my reports are in
Microsoft Excel.
