Walk-thru screening sites as well as hand-held screening device for staff and inmates
Perform armed roaming perimeters
Qualify annually with 9mm handgun, 12 gauge shot gun and a 9mm sub-machine gun
Monitor radio communications and cameras
Screening staff and visitors in and out of the institution
Monitor inmate property for contraband
Conduct random pat searches and shake-downs
Screen phone calls and help maintain confidentiality for WITSEC inmates
Provide security for escorted medical trips in the community both armed and un-armed
