Dear :
I recently learned that you are seeking an exceptional Executive Director
and as I am considering relocating to South Florida, wanted to share my
resume with you and assure you that I have many prominent references from
the area.
You will notice that I only spent one year at Temple Torah of West Palm
Beach. Because my son and his family moved to New Jersey, and I had no
grandchildren near by, I decided to move to be near my family. After one
year at Temple Beth Rishon, I also left after a year, this time because my
daughter needed my help with her children and her household. You will also
note that I was a Senior Staff Program Director of Congregation B'nai
Israel for 8 years so I absolutely have a stable job history.
I have worked closely with the Clergy, Department Heads, staff, Board,
Chairs, volunteers and even vendors and resources within the community to
strengthen teams that build loyalty and affiliation. My experience with
social action, adult education, Scholar-in-Residence, membership, strategic
planning, coupled with my skill and experience in operations might be just
what you are looking for in a candidate. Working with singles, families,
children and adults have provided me opportunities to see how successful
leadership can impact the congregation and community. The creation of
policies and procedures that bring clarity, savings, and new revenue
streams provide a more stable foundation for everyone.
I strive for excellence and have a "can do" approach to solving problems.
When I started at Temple Beth Rishon, I was immediately charged with
increasing publicity. One press release I did early on resulted in a
Newsweek article that was sent by the URJ to 900 congregations in North
America.
After reviewing my resume, should you determine that we should discuss the
position further, please don't hesitate to contact me. I would be excited
to speak to you and the Search committee.
Warmest Regards,
Betsy Dobrick
