Objective
. To obtain a management position in the retail field that will allow me
to use the training I have obtained, as well as utilizing the skills

Currently the department manager of Paint and Walls and Windows
Past departments include Flooring and Plumbing.
Hired in as Team Leader in Walls and Windows and in 2007, took the EMTP
(entry management training program) course and then became department
manager. In 2009/2010, took the MTP (management training program) course.
Some of my responsibilities during the training program were being a key
caring manager, being responsible for six departments with 50 plus
employees, interviewing new hires, delegating responsibilities and
holding accountably. The experience I have obtained through Lowe's has
helped me become a manager as well as a leader.
Responsibilities include assisting customers with purchases for in home
projects, making budgets within departments, weekly cycle counts and
markdown reports, scheduling writing, one on one training with employees,
employee conflict resolution, taking care of customer controversies in a
professional timely manner, merchandising product for displays, manage
inventory and shrink budgets, writing work lists for associates,
identifying sales opportunities with department(s) and executing safety
and policies and procedures.
