QC Receiving Inspector
Pay: 15.15/hr
I was the only Full-time day to day QC Receiving Inspector for Marquis for
over 5 years. My duties include but not limited to:
Unload tractor and/or flatbed trailers with forklift; Inspect all incoming
freight to specifications, workmanship and blueprint drawings using dial
calipers, micrometers, jigs, and color chips per lot sampling; verify
counts and labeling on boxes and pallets per Purchase Order requirements
(ETL/UL, CE/TUV); verify incoming product was labeled and complied with
predetermined requirements, accept or reject material and then Complete a
Quality Control Receiving Inspection Report. Complete Non-conformance
paperwork if needed. Once material deemed acceptable I would then place
items back into original packaging and contact warehouse personnel to let
them know it was ok to then place items into their proper Bin locations.
Assist warehouse with retrieval of parts from their bin locations for
manufacturing orders when asked upon.
Manage defective parts warehouse with monthly physical count inventory;
contact vendors for Return Goods Authorization number and prepare defective
parts, boxes or pallets, for return shipment via UPS module or freight Bill
of Lading; create report of defective parts using MS Excel and Word for
tracking and management purposes. I am very proficient with MAS200/500 as
it was the computer program that Marquis used.
When working the production line I would perform thorough checks of
Completed spa unit in compliance with ETL/UL standards; perform production
line check inspection looking for any and all manufacturing defects;
perform daily test audits of the spas looking for defective equipment,
plumbing, fiberglass and acrylic shell. Trouble shoot any defects. Assist
in repairs of defects.
Cross trained in all aspects of the Warranty Department. I would receive
defective parts, test the parts or spa pumps to verify they were indeed
defective, fill out the warranty submittal form, tag defective part, then
credit vendor for part and labor costs using MAS200 module.
Also assisted the shipping department with order pulling, boxing, and
shipping via UPS or freight bill of Lading.
