quarterly and payroll tax payments. Responsible for all aspects of
accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, month-
end and year-end journal entries and financial statements.

Schedule and manage Assistant Branch Manager and tax preparers.

Various positions that included Accounts Receivable Supervisor, Staff
Accountant, and Cost Accountant. Each position presented increasing levels
of responsibility.
Supervised accounts receivable clerk to ensure accuracy and timeliness of
aged trial balance. Performed month-end accounts receivable close
procedures. Responsible for timely payment of all freight associated with
inbound scrap and outbound product. Reconciled all general ledger accounts
pertaining to accounts receivable, scrap, and freight. Worked with sales
representatives and mill personnel to process customer credits and/or sales
adjustments. Prepared and filed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax
forms. Assisted in performing Sarbanes-Oxley tests and audits.
Successfully implemented SAI scrap management software after Rocky Mountain
Steel Mills regained ownership of the system from the David J. Joseph
Company (DJJ). Developed and implemented inventory tracking and reporting.
Used problem-solving skills on a regular basis to increase my knowledge of
the SAI software and to efficiently maintain all scrap shipments, purchase
orders, accounts payable, and inventory. Developed a solid and effective
working relationship with key DJJ staff to ensure accuracy of scrap
shipment information and timely payment of invoices. Responsible for month-
end scrap inventory and financial reporting. Instrumental in identifying,
researching, and developing solutions as opportunities for change and/or
improvements arose.
Responsible for weekly BEC forecasting, quarterly and annual budget
forecasting, inventory management, variance analysis, and completing month-
