I direct and supervise the receiving function to

include receiving all incoming merchandise from common

carriers vendors and Exchanges checking merchandise

against receiving documents, Review scheduled

appointments for upcoming deliveries. Visually inspect

cases and packages tor damage, Noted any discrepancies

in any paperwork or material. Initiate investigations

as required. Assign RGR or PO number to each shipment

and marks cases and documents accordingly, prepares

receiving reports and related documents. I was

responsible for planning the layout and utilization of

the receiving area, recommended the procurement of

material handling equipment to the Distribution

Manager. Conduct frequent inspections of equipment

and work areas and make necessary adjustments to

storage aids to achieve mission requirements. Follow

prescribed maintenance program and makes recommendation

for report or replacement of the equipment. Coordinate

training needs of personnel involved in operation of

distribution center motor vehicles with emphasis on

Safety and HAZMAT operations. Ensure compliance with

established safety, security and fire prevention

procedures. Trained employees and ensured that all

material handling equipment operators had current

license and physical examinations. Skilled in the use

of a forklift. Maintain official forklift license.

Received HAZMAT training.
