To whom it may concern,
I am applying for the open position of tooling engineer that was
offered on October 18, 2010. I feel this is an excellent opportunity for
both of us.
I have enclosed my resume for your review of my qualifications, and
work in your manufacturing facility. I am qualified for this position based
upon my experience, extensive training, education, attitude, and technical
as well as personal skill sets.
My training consists of more than twenty years of experience in
manufacturing, specifically the tool and die trade (stampings). My years of
experience in the trade have taught me nearly all aspects of stampings,
roll forming, and welding, both in and out of an office arena. Becoming a
tool and die maker was my original goal; however, it is definitely worth
mentioning that the experience I have gained within leadership is of an
immense value; particularly for a well rounded individual. One of the most
important components of success is the ability to work with and utilize
your team; the social aspects of manufacturing. I have gained and
appreciate great people skills, team play, positive thinking, and success.
I feel that I am a well rounded team player with both the necessary social
as well as technical skills required to succeed in a manufacturing
environment.
My preparation has designed us to succeed, and I have the experience
that you are looking for. Please call me at 810-***-**** to arrange an
interview. Thank you for your consideration, I will look forward to hearing
from you.
Sincerely,
Danny L Earl

Summary of qualifications
I have gainful experience working with many different kinds of
tooling and people. I feel (and my colleagues agree) that I am
a representative of the top ten percent of the most
knowledgeable troubleshooters (in press repairs) working
today. I say this with the proven experience of collaborative
ideas from several manufacturing facilities, and have proven
time and time again, that "it can be done", and "it will run".
I have experience working around the following parameters:
Mechanical and Hydraulic presses from 45-3000 tons, single and
double action
Air, roll, or de-stacker feeds, with numerous die protection
systems
Progressive, transfer, body (including class a), line, and
compound dies, in addition to blanking dies and operations
Complementing my die maker's knowledge is my ability to weld.
I am an excellent, first class tool and die welder. I have
also trained many individuals on the concepts and skills of
tool and die welding. Fabrication, along with mig, and arc
welding are all also quality skills that I possess.
The necessary people skills to accommodate and succeed in a
production arena
I am a very well rounded, talented individual, with a high
regard for technical as well as social skill sets. I have
enjoyed the challenges that the manufacturing trade has had to
offer me, and will look forward to furthering my career within
the manufacturing arena. I work well under pressure, and in
many cases, may actually enjoy the time constraint challenges.
Finally, I feel that with the right attitude a team can
accomplish anything.
