master control room, requiring detailed attention to the status of on-air programming,

automation transmission lists and technical quality control.

Must respond immediately to on-air emergencies, manually intervening with the

automation system when technical failures or other anomalies occur. Programming must

be restored to air restored to air as quickly as possible.

Verification of all programming and interstitial material contained on the logs. Each

program and interstitial event on each log must be carefully compared to the on-air

transmission list, line by line to ensure the titles, house numbers and durations on the log

match the automation transmission list exactly.

Caching (dubbing from videotape to video file server) all program material for the

following day. All program materials delivered to the control room for caching must be

checked twice, once before and once after the caching process to verify that the titles,

house numbers and durations match the program logs for the next day

Verification of all backup video tapes for the on-air programs. Each tape must be checked

•

against the log and placed in order of broadcast in the event it is needed due to a technical

failure. Accurate reporting of all on-air anomalies and discrepancies. Complete reporting

of all insertions and deletions of promotional materials required for time adjustments to

the logs. Complete reporting of all insertions, deletions or replacement of commercials or

programs as instructed by the client on Change Notification forms.

Detection and correction of logging errors including incorrect promos, incorrect language

•

for feed, incorrect or misplaced secondary events, etc.
