SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Fifty years experience in process controls including design,

construction, maintenance, commissioning, testing and plant start-

ups. Experienced in pharmaceutical, chemical, textile, polyester

film, petrochemical plants, aluminum rolling mills, biotech

facilities, wastewater systems, agricultural chemicals, fossil

fuel generating stations, paper mills,

a nuclear fuels reprocessing plant and a Polysilicon plant.

DETAILED EXPERIENCE

TRS Staffing, Greenville, SC

Principal Designer April 2007 to August 2009

Assigned to a Life Sciences project and placed in charge of the

Utilities and outside areas including all RFI water systems.

Assisted Boiler engineer with revised vendor drawings to conform

to Client standards. Verified Vendors boiler master system was

capable of operating multiple boilers. Specified Gas monitoring

analyzers and instruments.. Developed schematics for shutdown of

HVAC systems in the event of a fire.

March 1, 2008, re-assigned to Overseas Project, to develop a

priced instrument index for Utilities, Infrastructure and Offsite

areas.

May 28, 2008, assigned to a large Polysilicon project to develop

cable and conduit schedules and wiring tables. Developed a tray

layout and sizing for all buildings to interface to pipe rack

trays.

January 1, 2009, assigned to the Balance of Plant (BOP) nuclear

fuel processing plant to develop electrical elementary drawings.

Senior Instrument Designer, February 2005 to March 2007

Performed a Boiler House walk down to develop PID's for use in a

new Safety System plant operating system. Reviewed and recommended

modifications to

the Plant Operations group regarding the Condensate system which

was out of

service. Assigned to a retro-fit a nuclear fuels reprocessing

autoclave

unit.

Assigned as a Lead to install a Safety Instrumented System

shutdown

on a highly unstable product line in a Chemical plant. Revised

P&IDs,

developed new loop sheets, an instrument index and assigned the

I/O to the

PLC also developed the construction document. Worked with Plant

personnel

and Vendor supplying a Gas Analyzer system on three (3) reactors.

Mustang to

hire our group to continue the services we provided at Merck.

Senior Instrument Designer, June 1999 to November 2002

Field assignment at the Merck plant in, Albany, GA, to provide the

instrumentation for an upgrade to an existing Waste gas vent

system.

Supervised four CAD designers in the preparation of P&ID's, loop

drawings,

Field assigned to Merck Pharmaceuticals to support the design of

electrical

systems for a plant ventilation system. Prepared single line

drawings,

conduit runs, schematics and loop sheets.

Process Controls Lead, on a $25MM retrofit to an existing

plastics plant for

GE. Prepared man-hour and cost estimates and project documents.

Prepared

the control scheme for a Honeywell TDC 3000 with a Honeywell Fail-

safe

Controller (FSC). Reviewed existing plant for changes and

modifications

that were not recorded. On-site construction support

Process Controls Lead for a $15MM expansion to an existing Akzo-

Nobel

sulfur processing plant. Prepared required project documents for

manpower

and costs. Developed a control scheme for this project utilizing a

Moore

Products APACS DCS interfaced to an Allen-Bradley PLC for both

batch and

continuous operations. Reviewed all changes with plant to ensure

adherence

to process requirements.

Controls Designer for a PET project for Hoechst Celanese. Prepared

specifications and requisitions for instruments. Worked with

Client and

Vendor to develop specialty automated jacked valves for the

polymer

systems. Interfaced with Dow heater vendor and materials handling

subsystems. Assigned to plant site as Instrument Coordinator

during

construction.

Assigned as Lead Instrument Discipline Engineer on 11 DuPont

projects.

Responsible for project related items such as cost, manpower and

schedules

documentation. Supervised twenty engineers, designers and drafters

to produce

instrument drawings within budgets and schedules. Developed

requisitions, loops sheets, installation details, wiring diagrams,

panel drawings and

electrical elementary diagrams.

Assigned as Design Lead supervising 5 Designer and 2 experienced

and 6 new Drafters on a large Bio-tech project. Provided guidance

new drafters in the development of panel drawings, panel

elementary wiring

progress on all personnel.

Assigned to the Anaconda Rolling mill project to develop the water

for the plant. Developed the wiring elementary drawings for the

cooling

tower fans to be operated manually and automatically through the

PLC.
