Introduction
Over thirty years of engineering experience in the field of rubber
technology. Solid accomplishments in trouble shooting, compound
development, process engineering, facility start-up, technology transfer
and cost containment. A highly motivated, task oriented individual.
Recognized as a person who can achieve both short term and long term goals.
Experienced in the areas of automotive, aerospace and industrial
technology. As a former educator has a strong desire to instruct
inexperienced employees. Has made several presentations to professional
groups which included: (SAE Automotive and Aerospace, ASTM), company
sponsored events (O-ring School, Problem Solving) and major customers
(Xerox, Hewlett Packard, General Electric Aerospace, Cummins Engine, Ford
Motor Company). Knowledgeable in ASTM, FDA, UL and NSF testing standards
including familiarity with EU Directives and ISO9000 quality management
systems.
International Experience
Assisted in the localization of compound formulations into the US from
Europe (Hungary, The Netherlands and France). Designed and implemented
rubber custom mixing capabilities in a large roller manufacturing plant in
Singapore. Transferred a rubber molding process from Japan to US and as a
result gained customer approval to manufacture in the US.
Government Experience
Designed and implemented work statement for Wright Patterson AFB regarding
high temperature sealing applications. Worked with Morton Thiokol, Hydra-
pack and Marshall Space Flight Center in resolving O-ring clevis design
modification for Space Shuttle program. I have presented several papers to
SAE, G4 committee necessary to qualify new rubber compounds to Military
Specifications.
