Implemented and supported international programs for GIFSL which included
the International Food Safety Administration (IFSA), the Executive
Leadership in Food Safety (ELFS); Engaging Intergovernmental Organizations
(EIO) as well as assisting with other GIFSL sponsored events. Duties
include: working cooperatively with corporate partners; managing logistics
associated with conference planning; working with technology to provide a
forum for meetings across several time zones; administering the director's
calendar of activities.

2007 to 2009
Coordinated the training program across the four program areas (Food, Feed,
Dairy and Meat) within the Dairy and Food Inspection Division. Provide
educational support and resources to newly hired and tenured inspection
staff.
Duties included: scheduling general orientation meetings for new hires;
facilitating
training committee meetings; develop and implement 2008 training goals;
connecting resources from the University of Minnesota with training needs
at
MDA; update educational materials to reflect MDA's mission and evaluate the
training program.

Managed animal health and food safety grants and contracts for the center

conjunction with faculty and post doctorates. Projects and programs

Avian Pneumovirus, High Pathogenic Avian Influenza, and National Integrated
Food Safety Initiative Proposal. Duties include: monthly and quarterly
reports to
funders, arranging conferences, meetings and trainings, developing program
and tour evaluations.
Provided support to the Center for website re-design and organizing
stakeholder
focus group meetings for internal strategic planning in 2008 and beyond.

Developed and revised food safety materials for consumers, foodservice and
University of Minnesota Extension Service specialized educators. Duties
included
writing newsletters, news articles, food safety curriculum, teaching
extension
classes and responding to consumer calls. Worked collaboratively with the
University of Minnesota faculty, regional educators, various agencies,
organizations and businesses to provide the most current and relevant
information. Provided support to overall department by coordinating the
Annual Meeting,
marketing the department and Extension to business/industry and assisted in
the
procurement of grant funds for ongoing educational programs.
