CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS:
MSX Engineering International, Inc., Warren, Michigan - Senior
Trainer/Inspector CPO assigned to Ford Motor Company from March 2003 to
April 2009. I designed the "feature/benefits" content, trained new hires,
and achieved the lowest cost per travel unit of seven person national team.
Responsibilities included the compliance inspection and sales training of
Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealerships in regards to their Certified Pre-
owned reconditioning, marketing, and finance penetration. Position
required 100% national travel. Ford did not renew funding in second
quarter of 2009.
Curtis Tractor Cab, Worcester, MA - Factory Representative. I developed an
expanding dealer distribution channel of new winter truck equipment while
servicing a mature OEM tractor cab business in cold climate states from
April 2000 to March 2001. I developed the corporate call log and
established an economical travel protocol. Seasonal income and relocation
to southern part of country prompted my career move.
Hayes-Ligon Corporation, Rockville, MD - Regional Sales Manager. I
marketed a parts and service price guide to domestic dealerships in a North
Central States assignment from January 1993 to October 1995. Additional
responsibilities included training the Honda national account and servicing
the Toyota T-Tips training. Business was sold.
Bill Tomczak Dodge, Chicago, IL - General Manager. I successfully
streamlined operation of retail dealership to better control costs and more
easily forecast business resource requirements from May 1985 to November
1993. Owner deceased, business sold.
EARLY CAREER DEVELOPMENT:
Steele-Hopf Oldsmobile, Blue Island, IL - Service Technician. General
Motors certified technician from June 1972 to September 1974.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR/SELF-EMPLOYMENT:
Marketed price guides to auto businesses from April 2001 to March 2003.
Temporary income.
Sold and serviced vehicles in Illinois from October 1995 to May 2000.
Uncomfortable with risk needed for growth.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Educational major in Automotive Technology from General Motors facility in
Hinsdale, Illinois along with Sun Electronics let me become one of Illinois
first Certified Technicians as the federal emissions standards were
enacted.
I attended Moraine Valley College in Palos Hills, Illinois and St. Laurence
High school on Burbank, Illinois.
Educational major in Automotive Technology. I possess a thorough
combination of technology and sales marketing, unique to the retail
automotive industry. With "hands on" experience working in every dealership
department (with the exception of parts) I bring an all inclusive
understanding of retail solutions. This led to extensive outside travel
visiting dealerships for the purpose of enhancing sales and efficiencies.
