EXPERIENCE: PCB Engineering & Design (CAD & Manual) and project

management of PCBs using MENTOR, DX-Designer and PADS

POWER PCB. PCBs are HIGH density DIGITAL & ANALOG,

HIGH VOLTAGE AC & DC. PCBs are usually 2 to 14 layers,

SMT & Thru-Hole, with components on both sides. PCBs are high

volume production and designed with DFM, DFT, ATE, & DRC.

Most PCBs have a test point per node, often with matched signal

lengths, and differential pairs routing, often impedance control is a

factor. All PCBs are design rules driven. I was responsible for all

related documentation for PCBs from PCB Layout, FAB,

Prototype and component procurement and PCB assembly

services. And, managed PCB vendor issue resolving with

manufacturing & assembly shops, as well as “in-house” issues, and

initiating ECNs/ECOs as applicable. PCBs must meet or exceed

UL, MIL and IPC-2221 standards. Managed 20+ in PCB Design,

Drafting, Photo-Shop, & Document Control. The use of Gerber

files was typical in the Photo-Shop & designs.

I often functioned as Component Engineer & CAD

Librarian. I Assembled & Soldered PCBs, both thru-hole & SMT

(to 0603 by hand. Hands-on with Auto Assy, Test, & Soldering,

QC/QA. I generated Gerber files from PCBs & manipulated the

Gerber Data / Files, as needed. I used AUTO-CAD & PCB CAD

systems to array & document PCBs.

Lead MANY cost reduction efforts, for production,

ALL stages of FAB, ASSY, TEST, PKG'g, etc
