Drafting skills: Over thirteen years experience with Auto-Cad r12-2006, and
two years experience with SolidEdge. Experience working directly with the
shop to create all drawings required from piece parts to assemblies and
installation drawings. Experience re-designing parts weldments and
installations for new applications. Experience with document control, shop
floor rev tracking and implementation, MRP control systems and quality
control.
Education
Denver Institute of Technology: Denver Co. Received training in Geometric
dimensioning and tolerancing (ANSI/ASME Y14.5 1994), Auto-Cad, and
Autolisp. The program included extensive use of Auto-Cad and board drafting
as part of an Associates of Applied Science degree. Graduation date 9/26/97
Employment History
Mark VII - Nov 2008 - July 2009, July 2010-Nov 2010. Employed as a
Drafter/Designer. All work was done on SolidEdge and in a parametric 3d
environment. Work included creating new parts, creating new exploded
assemblies and document control. Gained experience with Xpress route and
the explode/render apps for SolidEdge. Was responsible for drawing release
and rev control via a complex PCO process. All work was routed through the
shop using the MRP program BPCS.
Colorado Railcar- June 2008 - Nov. 2008 Employed as Drafter/designer for
railcar manufacturing. All work was done on SolidEdge and in a parametric
3d environment. Work included design and layout of key steel railcar
components, evaluation of manufacturing processes and detailing of all
parts. All drawings included standard BOM and purchase BOM elements and
material evaluation. All work was done in a low supervision atmosphere.
Steel Storage Systems Inc.: (September 2005-June 2008) Drafter/Designer.
Work included designing and detailing process handling equipment, including
conveyor systems, and rack storage units. Drawings included metal
fabrication, weldment, assemblies, and layouts of all equipment from
concept to delivery. Design work entailed purchasing of parts and raw
materials, and constructing full design concepts based upon established
product lines. Work also included working with other designers, sales, and
the shop to achieve stated design goals. All work was done on Auto-cad
2005. All parts and assemblies were routed and sourced from shop materials

Denver Water; Property Management group: (June 2004-September 2005)
Drafter. Duties included reading and entering Easment and Right of Way
drawings into the GIS system. Identifying, filing, and updating subdivision
plats. Locating Easment locations and section details in the GIS system.
All work was done using Auto-cad 2004, Arcmap, and Denver Waters internal
GIS system.
Industrial Manufacturing & Installations: (July 2002-August 2003) Employed
as a Drafter/Designer. Work included creating detail and layout drawings
for structural steel applications. Designed platform's for Coors, and did
extensive work on waste water treatment plants. Drawings included metal
fabrication, weldment, assemblies, and layout's of metal pieces used in
construction of platforms, stairs and imbeds. All work was coordinated with
an in house shop, and contractors. All work done on Auto-cad 2000. (See

Global Water Technologies: (July 2000- June 2002) Employed as a senior
Drafter/Designer. Work included creating drawings for industrial cooling
towers from project summaries. Drawings included metal and wood
fabrication, concrete basin arrangements, framing installations, mechanical
installations, and fabrications. Responsible for the design of over 24
different cooling towers. All work done on Auto-Cad 2000, and Excel. (See

Mining Technologies International: (Jan 1999-Feb 2000) Employed as
Drafter/Designer. Work included detailing drawings for underground loaders
and trucks; creating detail drawings from sketches and existing parts for
documentation and fabrication, updating old drawings to new standards and
applications, writing engineering release reports, working with the shop to
achieve desired results, and various data entry jobs. Oversaw the design
process of three separate projects. All work done on Auto-Cad r14, Lotus

Ball Aerospace: (1998) Employed as a draftsman, under contract from C.D.I.
in the wireless division. Work included detailing drawings for new wireless
phone antennas, artwork layouts for circuit diagrams, writing up
engineering orders, updating old drawings to new standards, and
applications, and controlling files of current drawings. All work done to
ANSI/ASME Y14.5 dimensioning standards. Used mechanical Desktop to create
parametrically controlled models of all parts.
