Professional Experience

Operations Manager with Gibbs International March 2003 - Present

I am currently a Logistics / Operations / Warehouse manager for the world's

largest pre-owned equipment dealer in their market.

. The financial aspect of my position encompasses the budgeting of: all

staff, transportation cost for warehousing and delivery to customers,

equipment needs, and security.

. I am directly responsible for the management of all warehouse staff,

offsite property managers, and contractors.

. A major portion of this position involves project management.

Projects range in length from weeks to years and in cost from

thousands to millions of dollars. I excel at managing multiple

projects simultaneously.

. During the past 8 years I have had an outstanding safety record.

Working out of a combined warehouse space of over 5.5 million square

feet in various locations throughout the Southeast, and shipping in an

excess of over 2,000 containers of heavy machinery a year, I have had

only 4 recordable injuries.

. I am heavily involved in utilizing and aided in developing a

computerized inventory system (ERP) with tracking capability.

. It is a necessity in my position to be an excellent communicator with

all facets of people, from warehouse crews, contractors, supervisors,

plant managers, and CEO's.

. Although not formally trained I use portions of Lean Manufacturing and

5S (or 6S if you include safety) practices in projects every day. It

is my responsibility to eliminate waste, whether it is a waste of

time, manpower, material, or money.
