PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to manage a large variety
of projects using a wide array of methodologies including Waterfall and
Agile. Industries in which I have application and infrastructure
experiences include medical, financial, marketing, data warehouses and
publishing. A key project that represents my soft skills as well as my
analytical skills is the digital archive project using the IBM (Italy) NICA
application. The overall goal of this project was to create a GUI digital
archive of all the photos that the newspaper owned. The facets of this
project that make it stand out are:
First implementation at a USA newspaper
Digital conversion of photos
Storage as BLOBs
Flexible search engine
International solution and team
Utilization of multiple third party vendors
Fulfilled within budget and time constraints
My experience also includes managing multiple projects simultaneously,
preparing budget forecasts, and developing return on investment
documentation.
I am skilled in all areas of project management, hardware selection,
infrastructure requirements, team selection, requirements gathering and
definition, scope, budget, timeline, design, development and
implementation. Exceptional follow-through on detailed projects to insure
that solutions fit the problems and that the recommended courses of action
integrate into the existing infrastructure. As project management I have
been responsible for project management of major systems that comprised the
multiple production system and rollouts. Managed projects ranged from 3
months to 3-year rollouts and cost between $10,000 and $4 million.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage fiscal resources and staff with
all levels of expertise
