have ranged from 5,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft.

LTA CONSTRUCTION ~ Republic of Botswana 1998 - 1999
Production Engineer and Site Agent/Supervisor
Recruited as Production Engineer and site supervisor on a construction
project in The Republic of Botswana. The project included 100 miles of
asphalt road with 10 bridge class culverts and an innovative railroad
culvert. The contractor's team included a Project Manager, Quantity
Surveyor, Surveyor, administration team of four and several foremen.
Responsibilities included:
. Coordinated communication between site foremen and the planning
office; ensured that issues were addressed quickly.
. Challenged with keeping employee morale high in such a remote part of
the world; communicated frequently, resolved problems quickly and
acted as a positive role model for all foremen and employees.
. Promoted to Site Agent within 12 months.
. Direct oversight of equipment and personnel needs; minimized site
costs.
. Established Quality Control procedures; performed duplicate material
tests to ensure limited down time.
. Developed daily, weekly and monthly schedules throughout the project;
collaborated with consultant on program revisions and updated PM
internal schedule weekly.
. Led a team effort to consolidate input from the Project Manager,
Materials Engineer and Surveyor in order to secure site work approvals
from the Managing Consultant.
. Instituted all sub-contractor programming and scheduling, to include
targeting work areas, authorizing materials used and maintaining

Project Engineer
V3 is one of the largest consulting firms in South Africa. Appointed to
Traffic Engineering department in Pretoria to provide technical assistance
to the Project Managers. Subsequently, was promoted to Project Engineer.
Projects included:
. Developed proposals and traffic impact studies of developments, for
city councils and private developers throughout South Africa using
Highway Capacity and Transit software.
. Authored a thesis on "Delay at over-saturated signalized
intersections", 1997.
