Practical experience

Marine Resources Group May 2008 - Present

Senior Program Manager/Solution Architect, Information Services

(Seattle, WA)

I serve a dual role as the lead Program Manager and also as the Sr.

Solution Architect for the SAP Project Systems and Plant Maintenance

modules in a group of five people who are responsible for managing all new

implementations and sustaining tasks for the Finance Information Systems

including SAP ECC 6.0, SAP Business Objects/BI Data Warehouse, Kofax

MarkView and ADP TaxWare. We interact with approximately 400

administrative and operations users in a company containing 1600 employees

- most of whom are maritime workers - across 7 states around the US.

I was recruited to rescue the original SAP implementation in 2008. I took

charge of the project and quickly gained the respect of both the user base

and project consultants and delivered only 3 months later. I then led the

2nd Phase as Project Manager to install the SAP software, Business Objects

DW reporting and business process improvements in our Hawaii companies on

January 1 of 2010. We delivered the quality product on time and smoothly

to many compliments of a skeptical user base. Senior management gave me an

Exceeded Expectations review and asked me to be the Program Manager on our

current HR/Payroll implementation partnering with ADP. This challenging

project will impact all 1600 employees and is scheduled to go live in two

phases on January 1 and April 1 of 2011.

The Walt Disney Internet Group June 2007 - May 2008

Senior Technical Project Manager, Data Services Group

(Seattle, WA)

Hired as a senior-level project manager, I immediately injected a focus on

communication and structure to an engineering-driven Data Warehousing

group.

While balancing 11 concurrent projects, I delivered a brand new physical

Data Warehouse (hardware and application) while leading the 3 month project

as a contractor. My performance led directly to my permanent hiring three

months ahead of schedule. The WDIG Data Warehouse now ETL's over 800

million rows of new data per night from over 20 data sources.

In addition, I drove the closer alignment of the Information Services and

Data Warehouse groups to collaborate on a more technical level that has

lead to a higher quality report capability and in turn, a greater

utilization of MicroStrategy as a BI tool for the marketing divisions

across ESPN, ABC and Disney Online.

IBM Corporation September 2006 - June 2007

Senior SAP Consultant, Global Business Services

SAP Financial Management Practice / Industrial Sector

(Seattle, WA)

Recruited as a senior-level SAP consultant into IBM and placed on a project

for Thomson, based in Minnesota, I helped upgrade and assimilate their SAP

system across multiple, international business groups. The aggressive

timeline had caused the original team to fall behind with configuration and

development. I was able to quickly ramp up to join the Project

Systems/Asset Accounting group and help the group achieve their original

targets for the configuration, design specifications and technical

requirements documentation.

Intel Corporation July 1999 - September 2006

Program Manager - Fixed Asset Accounting Capital Systems: 5/05-9/06

(Hillsboro, OR)

Fixed Asset Accounting at Intel is responsible for a variety of business

critical tasks including Asset Management, Close & Reporting and Controls

for over $17b worth of capital assets, while utilizing SAP, MicroStrategy

and other Capital System applications. The FAA Systems Platform is

chartered with partnering with the IT division on the design, maintenance

and enhancement of these systems.

I successfully managed a world-wide team of analysts who delivered business

requirements to IT during the quarterly system releases and enhancements to

the Fixed Asset systems including MicroStrategy reports, the SAP AA module

and various Java-based legacy applications. This team was located in the

US, Malaysia, Israel, Ireland, India, Costa Rica and the Philippines and I,

as the manager, was ultimately responsible for ensuring an integrated

systems roadmap across the Intel international worksites - each with their

own unique and divergent statutory requirements.

My accomplishments in this role directly led to the following improvements:

. A new worldwide Systems Platform structure and requirements methodology

to ensure each international FAA site is represented and informed.

Accountant productivity, process consistency and overall accuracy were

increased by a minimum of 10% at each site as a result.

. Business Process improvements and a Worldwide Service Level Agreements

ratified with FAA key finance business partners such as the Technology

Manufacturing Group and Global Tax & Trade division. Improved business

partnerships and streamlined processes saved Intel Finance a total of 500

hours/quarter.

Sr. Business Analyst & Lead Program Manager (eBiz Group/IT): 1/02-5/05

(Chandler, AZ)

My work on SAP Upgrade programs enhanced my reputation with the Intel IT

group to the point that they hired me away from the 'customer' side to

make me a Sr. Business Analyst. The comparative advantage I developed

that drove my success and 2 subsequent promotions was my unique

combination of end-user perspective and technical system configuration

and development skill.

I began as the key point of contact to document and execute the

requirements of the Finance customers during Explore, Planning, Design

and Implementation Phases for a subsequent SAP System Upgrade - with

experience on both sides, I could translate requirements into results

twice as fast as my peers. I led the design integration teams of System

Analysts and Developers based across the US and India to deliver the

right cost-efficient system solutions and business process re-engineering

and revolutionized the entire IT test execution model that resulted in

early completion of the testing phase.

Promoted to Program Lead before my transition back to Finance, I led a

project that improved Intel Financial Capital Reporting in both usability

and productivity using the MicroStrategy tool. We consolidated over 200

existing financial reports to 45 and saved over 40 hours per analyst per

month in reporting alone. I managed the release schedule and

communication effort to the Finance forums to ensure awareness,

appropriate resource support and alignment. I also directed the creation

and delivery of the training documentation to increase user knowledge of

system processes and implemented a sustaining framework geared to

maintain that expertise.

Sr. Capital Analyst & Project Representative (Fab/Sort Manufacturing): 6/00-

1/02

(Chandler, AZ)

After displaying finance leadership and an uncommon systems aptitude and

interest, I was promoted and selected as the central project

representative responsible for ensuring Finance requirements were met

during the design and release of a new SAP Database upgrade across the

Intel Fabrication network. I was relocated to Chandler, AZ where I led

the technical design and business process creation that directly led to

improved Finance productivity by 25% and forecast accuracy consistently

within the 2% target. In addition, I conducted all the end-user training

and led on-site implementations for the Finance around the US and World

including Costa Rica, China, Ireland and Israel and received Divisional

awards.

Capital Analyst (Fab/Sort Manufacturing): 7/99-6/00

(Hillsboro, OR)

As a new hire at Intel, I was accountable for all capital budgets,

forecasting, purchase order controls and financial close activities for

the F15 Wafer Fabrication Plant in Hillsboro, OR that spent over $500m

during my tenure. In addition to improving the capital system processes

and designing new MS Excel macros to enhance productivity, I saved Intel

over $10m in one quarter using financial analysis to eliminate

incremental Fab equipment purchases which was recognized by the CFO, Andy

Bryant.
