Operations & IT Executive

(Over 80% of my focus was on mission critical systems, business

transformation and infrastructure Project Management activities): Plan,

organize and direct a very fast paced, extremely scalable internet gourmet

food business with seasonal volumes exceeding 15,000 overnight shipments

per day and 60% growth annually. Responsible for Plant infrastructure,

lease "TI's" and build-outs and expansion projects for TWO 40K sq.ft. "food

grade" Order Fulfillment plant Operation facilities located in Rocklin, Ca.

and Camp Hill Pa.

Significant Accomplishments

. Key success factors to 60% growth included my direct involvement in the

sourcing, recommending, negotiating and implementation (planning thru

enterprise systems integration) with Varsity Shipping System, Fed-Ex,

Akamai (distributed image servers) and Melissa Data (name/address

validation).

. Developed and implemented production facilities process-flow and highly

automated R/FID technology changes resulting in over 100% capacity and

accuracy improvements..

. Led "fast track" project to implement Domain Controllers, Microsoft

Active Directory, Exchange Server, Sonic Wall Firewall appliance and web

servers on a fiber WAN capable of 1 million hits per day (on

www.berries.com) and integration with IBM iSeries ERP systems.

. Initiated and lead a number of strategic Telecom infrastructure & IVR

routing, contingency (event) messaging for In-house (35 seat) Customer

Service as well as (350 seat) Overflow Call Center(s).

. Led initiative to create an internal (private C/S Web-portal) aimed at

providing essential, critical and time sensitive information to our

valued customers due to extremely HIGH call volumes, Fed-Ex "weather

related" or other delivery delays, directing web and phone traffic

appropriately.

. Co-authored and developed Corporate IT Security policies and procedures

necessitated by potential IPO offering or Corporate acquisition.

. Project manager for Corporate Headquarters, Rocklin, Ca. implementation

of an emergency power generator back-up system to provide continuous,

short-term "switch-over" power augmenting existing UPS system that

supports "Mission-critical servers," one limited capacity A/C cooling

unit and two shipping workstations. This strategic initiative was

successfully completed, documented and fully tested prior to our

Christmas 2008 holiday event and ensures that any extended power-outage

affecting the Rocklin-Lincoln area during our normal production schedule

will not hamper our abilities to ship product from either our Rocklin or

Camp Hill Pa. fulfillment centers.

Utilized project management skills to perform competitive and marketing

Significant Accomplishments

. Assisted IBSUS IT Operations in project management for Corporate

Headquarters relocation into a NEW, much larger facility. Provided past

experience expertise and project management assistance scope which

included IT Data Center design, security access, UPS requirements, A/C

climate control, network infrastructure, move planning, identifying

needed resources, assisting with assigned roles and responsibilities,

execution plan, move risk assessment and contingency plan.

. Lead, installed and configured IBS's "first-to-market" internet B2B

product offering, (ICE) "Internet Connection Manager - Extreme" for IBS-

US customers, providing client feedback and key functional and

performance improvement recommendations for "next-generation" JAVA

evolution and development efforts by IBM in Rochester, MN., working

jointly with IBS in Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden.

. Assisted in adding credibility to IBS worldwide, through leveraging

industry knowledge and skills to shaping marketing and P/R messages,

authoring trade journal articles, white papers and product announcements,

customer success stories, video productions, and various sales and pre-

sales collateral.

. Provided consulting and led an e-Business project to implement a B2B

spare parts website for Roland Corporation and Miele Appliance
