2004 - 2008 - General Manager - Owner; Razcal's Restaurant & Lounge
Designed new layout and restaurant theme, menu development and all start-up
& continuing marketing. Duties included full charge bookkeeping, all
advertising and promotions, oversight of cost controls, inventory and
ordering as well as augmentation of cooking and bar staff as necessary.
Business grew month - on -month to achieve $500,000 sales in three years.
2003 - 2004 - Nantahala Outdoor Center
VP Operations -P & L responsibility for all business operations including:
three restaurants, three retail outlets, instruction/adventure programs,
lodging, facilities and maintenance. Accomplishments during this tenure
included:
< Reversed a three-year negative profitability trend. Unit exceeded
company standards while achieving guest satisfaction scores of 96.3%.
< Negotiated lease of motel property thereby expanding lodging
capability of the Center resulting in an increase attendance in the
first year of 4% with the unit itself achieving 96% seasonal
occupancy.
< Corrected major managerial issues within the main Outfitters Store
that led to increased revenues and decreased cost of goods sold
exceeding Company goals.
2001 - 2003 Kitchin Hospitality, LLC - Corporate Office, Atlanta, GA
Director of Marketing & Hotel Performance Support - This multi-disciplined
position involved creation, implementation and oversight of all Jameson Inn
and Signature Inn marketing promotions (125 Hotels). Additionally
responsibilities included setting individual hotel B2B sales standards and
goals. Major contributions during this period have included:
< Executed complete re-design of the company's website orchestrating not
only design elements but also authoring and integrating a
comprehensive e-marketing strategy for the brands. During this period,
revenue from website reservations increased by 83% to represent almost
three percent of total company revenues. Contributions from total
Internet reservations increased to over 95% and 10.6 percent of total
revenue.
< Implemented a joint promotion with American Express using a direct
mail piece that yielded over $175,000 in revenue from new guests
during the slack period immediately following the 9/11disaster.
< Authored a Hotel Performance Training Program & Guide. This training
and field implementation guide resulted in the Jameson Inn Brand
achieving 87% REVPAR ratios exceeding Company goals.
2001 - 2001 Kitchin Hospitality, LLC - Region Two
Regional Sales Manager - Tasked to improve the performance of two newly
opened hotels in the Jackson, MS that had failed to achieve their market
parity.
< During the seven months tenure in this position, aggressive outside
guerilla marketing techniques that resulted in a reversal of the flat
and downward trend thereby bringing the hotels on line within market
projections. This entailed included negotiating a major business
accounts at each of these hotels.

2000 - 2001 Kitchin Hospitality, LLC - Jameson Inn Crestview
General Manager - Oversaw final stages of construction, pre-opening and
operational management on this prototype interior corridor hotel. Scope of
the position required hands-on management of all phases of hotel operations
to include initial hiring and training, local sales and marketing, daily
operations, financial management and guest relations.
< Was able to erode the competition's market share and bring the hotel
from worst performer in the Company to top performer in less than 8
months. Competitive share during this same period rose from an entry
point of 65% market share to consistently achieving over 115% of
occupancy, ADR and RevPar indexes. (Smith Travel Research STAR
