Responsibilities include assisting customers in all aspects of maintaining
their accounts, researching customer accounts and processing deposits. Also
part of my job is to sell bank products to customers (ex: IRA,
Certificates, and Service reviews of accounts, checking, and savings).
2004-2004 DOLLAR GENERAL
MANAGER
As manager of the Clarksville, VA store duties included overseeing the day-
to-day operations of the store, compiling reports, hiring and training
personnel, merchandise replenishing and merchandise display.
2003-2004 DAN RIVER, INC.
WAREHOUSE SALE COORDINATOR
This job involves traveling from location to location, setting up and
operating warehouse sales for multiple vendors, coordinating information
from multiple vendors to corporate office for inventory replenishing of
merchandise and advertising. Other job responsibilities were controlling
of expenses, working with temporary agencies for staffing needs,
supervising store set up, monitoring day-to-day operations and store break
down at the end of the sale.
1997-2003 SCHEWEL FURNITURE, INC. STORE MANAGER
This position involves all aspects of managing a furniture store. Some of
the job duties were displaying merchandise, ordering merchandise, inventory
control, scheduling deliveries of sold merchandise, selling merchandise to
customers, training new Sales personnel. Other job responsibilities were
designing and printing point of sale posters, signs, and tags and
advertising mailers, product brochures and other day-to-day store
operation. In addition, I had to read and approve all loans for
merchandise purchases.
1996-1997 CLIMATE CONTROL, INC. ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICIAN
This position involved all aspects of commercial and industrial electrical
work. Some of the job duties were wiring electrical panel boards, running
conduit, planning and running electrical circuits, installing and wiring

1996-1996 GREASED LIGHTNING MANAGER
Manager of an oil change center. This was a new business, I designed and
implemented training manuals and trained the staff. I managed the business
for approximately two months until the owner, for financial reason, decided
to take over as manager. The position, I held as manager, was eliminated.
1975-1996 FAMILY DOLLAR STORE MANAGER
General Manager, of the Family Dollar Store, in town of South Hill,
Virginia. The administrative responsibilities involved, recruiting and
establishing training programs for store personnel, coordinating work and
personnel assignments. As General Manager, my responsibilities also
included compiling weekly and monthly reports, entering the data into the
computer, merchandise replenishing, and merchandise display. In the past,
I managed two stores simultaneously, and traveled to numerous Family Dollar
Stores to coordinate store appearance changes.
1974-1975 FAMILY DOLLAR STORE MANAGER TRAINEE
Developed management skills to supervise a retail outlet, and traveled to
supervise multiple Family Dollar Stores operations.
1974 GORTON GARMENT STOCK CLERK
The responsibilities included pulling all supplies for the sewing room,
receiving of supplies and working in the print shop.
1972-1974 FAMILY DOLLAR STORES STOCK CLERK
Duties involved receiving and pricing merchandise, ordering merchandise,
operating the cash register, customer service, and designing merchandise
displays.
COMPUTER EXPERIENCE
Microsoft based word processing, spreadsheets and databases in Microsoft
Windows 3.1 - Windows XP and Microsoft Office Programs. I am also very
knowledgeable in spreadsheets, databases. I also have developed forms, in
Microsoft Excel and Omni Form, used in merchandise accountability, customer
communications, reports to corporate and forms which future objectives were
developed. The forms were electronic and in paper format. I have also had
some experience in desktop publishing.
