Responsible for the overall Human Resources function for the

U.S. operations of Ahlstrom Paper Group's Engine Filtration

Division. This includes four manufacturing facilities in four

states (TN, KY, IL, and PA) with approximately 400 employees.

Responsibilities include employee relations, wage and salary

administration, employee benefits, pension administration,

EEO/Affirmative Action Compliance, recruitment, training and

development, and H.R.I.S. for one union and three non-union

facilities. Member of management team and responsible for the

implementation of the Human Resources policies and procedures

for a new $80 million start-up manufacturing facility in

Illinois. Member of international Human Resources Committee for

Ahlstrom Paper Group headquartered in Amsterdam, The

Netherlands. Travel: Domestic 25-35%, International 5%.

Human Resources Director (11/85 - 1/95)

Responsible for the Human Resources function for two non-union

manufacturing facilities in TN and KY. Member of the management

negotiating committee for union facility in Eastern

Pennsylvania.

Cellulose Products

and Southern Specialty Paper Co. Responsible for the initial

first computer system and department.

Purchasing Manager during periods of travel by the VP

1. Maintained non-union status for three manufacturing facilities from 1975

to the present.

2. No union organizing campaigns since 1978. Five campaigns prior to 1978.

3. No lawsuits resulting in company being found guilty of violating any

State or Federal employment, labor, or civil laws or statues.

4. Established self-insured medical and short-term disability insurance

payment

system, which resulted in increased cash flow of approx. $200,000.

5. Turnover reduced to 3% (plant & office) - 1996 to 1998 rate was 0% in

the plants.

6. Established the first computer operation for the two manufacturing

facilities in TN & KY with first year cost savings of $120,000.

7. Established an employee suggestion program which resulted in a $220,000

cost savings in water consumption over a two year period.
