Evaluate an offender’s progress and recommend intensity of supervision based on
observations from the time of conviction through the period of adjustment after release
from an institution.
Assist an offender in securing a job, by maintaining contacts with local business
organizations and employment agencies, and arranging employment interviews for the
offender.
Counsel and refer offenders to specialized treatment services at local guidance clinics,
mental health clinics, and related organizations.
Keep records of an offender’s restitution payments, their costs of supervision, court costs,
as well as other related payments.
Maintain an awareness of offenders' daily activities and am responsible for evaluating
their desirability to remain at liberty.

Represent the Florida Department of Corrections in all parole hearings for inmates
assigned to caseload and testify as a witness at parole or probation revocation hearings.
Responsible for the case management of all assigned inmates, and I also serve as a team
leader in all department case reviews to determine the direction of each case.
Serve as team chairman for all disciplinary due process hearings for inmates assigned to
caseload.
Evaluate information from offenders’ reports, interviews and correspondence and prepare
detailed case histories for recommendations for inmate classification and future job
assignment.
