Customer Service Representative
Resume Book 360 posting
To whom it may concern;
Of late, I have been scouring the Internet and job fairs in the pursuit of
a career that offers consistency, challenges, opportunities for
advancement, and security for my family and myself. On line today I came
across just that, your posting for Customer Service Representative. This
position reads as if it was tailor made for me and the experience that I
bring; applied knowledge of the P&C industry, timely and detailed analysis
of coverage across a broad range of P&C and Marine Liability, communication
amongst multiple parties, the ability to both lead and work within a team,
as well as risk management. I relish the opportunity to speak with you at
as I have the utmost interest in this and other positions that you may have
available
My current position as a Commercial Insurance Agent involves the active
sales, marketing and management of our appointed carriers' products to
various marine and food service exposures. The major marine risks that I
work with include passenger and service vessels, marinas, shipyards, boat
builders and dealers and have allowed me to make use of knowledge of
California Workers' Comp Laws as well as Jones' Act and USL&H when
evaluating exposures and coverage needed. My food service clients have also
been able to benefit from my experience in the food service industry,
whether a processing facility or retail operation all have the benefits of
proper liability and property, Work Comp, EPLI and Commercial Auto. In
additional support of our carriers needs, I proactively used analytical
skills to identify potential areas of excessive risk, including work place
safety, general liabilities and pollution and I provided strategic
communication, consultation and remedies in that regard to our clients. I
have built relationships with claims managers, investigators, and other
business partners to facilitate investigations of claims and expedite any
claims payouts.
In my positions in the food service industry, I had the opportunity to
design menus, food processing facilities in compliance with HACCP
parameters and entire kitchen complexes focusing on proper storage and
rotation, sanitation, and elimination of cross contamination. The regular
practice of working in conjunction with a group of people from multiple
parties and just as many different entities to find solutions was something
required in my practices with Western Exterminator. Our Food Safety
Division was designed to extensively inspect and audit a facility; be it a
warehouse, food processing plant or a hotel, then work with the management
and operations to share the assessment along with a plotted course of
correction. Additionally, working with high volume processors allowed me to
recognize that we are in fact part of not just a local, but also a world
market, where sustainability and humane harvesting are of paramount concern
to long-term viability of the best food products from our back yard and
around the world. As a Corporate Chef it was necessary to identify, analyze
and communicate food trends to my Research and Development Teams and
together we designed menus that
capitalized on the data and our market segments, then we took the new
products to 'test' markets. Subsequent sales information gathered was
analyzed and the results brought to the board to review for recommendations
on system wide distribution and sales. My familiarity, certification in
and applied knowledge of Good Management Practices (GMPs), Standard Safe
Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and HACCP compliance has allowed me to
further guarantee the safest possible products for our customers.
In addition to my management skill set and food service background, I feel
my experience as a lifelong fisherman and boater uniquely qualifies me to
excel in the field of Loss Control/Risk Management. Some of my strongest
skills lie in my ability to directly and convincingly communicate among a
wide range of personalities allowing for greater relationship management
and team building and leading. My refined conflict management skills are
indicative of the influence, tact and empathy necessary to achieve positive
outcomes. I feel that my varied career positions and combined life
experiences uniquely qualify me for the position of Customer Service
Representative and I very much look forward to being given the opportunity
to become a member of your team.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Jeff Davidson
