SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
I have 22 years of experience in general construction with expertise in Project management,
Superintendent, Quality Control Management and Site Safety Health Officer requiring a strong
understanding in Quality Control, Safety, phasing, supervision, scheduling, and problem resolution. I am
US Army Corp of Engineers Construction Quality Management certified. I have my OSHA 30, OSHA
road 10 and Lead Awareness certificates. I am also certified as OSHA Competent Person for Trench
Safety and Scaffolding. I have a strong knowledge of all construction trades with journeyman level skills
in earthwork, concrete, and rough and finish carpentry. I am experienced in supervision of large in-house
crews and coordination of numerous subcontractors. As Senior Project Manager for Morrissey
Construction I was responsible for all project managers at the company. I also managed the ground up
construction of a $3,000,000 fire station for the County of Los Angeles and a $4,000,000 youth center at
Dock Weiler State Beach. As Superintendent, my duties include directing all on-site activities; scheduling
of utility outages and road closures; coordination of access with facility users; inspecting materials
received at the work site and storing in designated areas; and monitoring progress and notifying the
Project Manager of any slippages in schedule. Additional duties include controlling schedules;
documenting and maintaining as-built conditions; ensuring work sites are cleaned at the end of each day
and facilities are secured; enforcement of safety plans; conducting and documenting weekly safety
meetings; and project close-out activities. On design-build projects, I interface well with design personnel
and provide constructability input during the design process.
I have extensive experience implementing and enforcing the requirements of the EM 385-1-1 Safety and
Health Requirements Manual. I have been responsible for task-order specific Accident Prevention Plans
and Activity Hazard Analyses for each definable feature of work, as well as ongoing safety training for
on-site employees and subcontractors. I also have specialized training in plumbing and mechanical
inspection, and was previously certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.
