Employment History
Designeering, Creative Design Agency, January 2015 – Present
Marketing Officer: I am currently undergoing a 6 week part-time internship at a
creative design agency. My role is to help grow the business by acquiring new clients
through marketing. Further to this, I am responsible for creating a marketing strategy
that can be utilised after my internship.
RKW: Tower Housewares, December 2014 – January 2015
Marketing Assistant: My role within RKW was working on their newly acquired
housewares brand Tower. I was responsible for creating marketing campaigns, from
idea generation, to writing up marketing proposals that can seamlessly be carried out
in-house or given to a marketing or PR agency.
River Island, June 2014 – January 2015
Sales Advisor: Mainly working on the shop floor building rapport with customers,
giving advice on the latest trends with a view to selling products. My confident,
outgoing personality helped me immensely in this role, by building rapport and
asking relevant questions to learn customers’ (fashion) problems ensuring I found
the right solution for them.
Phones4U, July 2014 – September 2014
Customer Care Team: Outbound calls contacting customers who made a purchase
from Phones4U, getting feedback on experiences in store, alleviating issues that
customers may have. It was cited that my rapport building with customers was one of
my major strengths.
Argos LTD, October 2010 – September 2011.
Customer Advisor: Argos was a fantastic opportunity to learn how to deal with the
public; the customers come from a multitude of psychographics. Worked in a very
fast-paced environment having started just before Christmas therefore I had to adapt
quickly to ensure I was in control.
Ashiana Kashmiri Restaurant, January 2009 – Intermittent
Barman/Waiter: I gained my first real business experience and quickly became
accustomed to a fast-paced, high energy role. It is vital to remain focused at all
times, ensuring there is communication within the team to avoid any pitfalls as the
restaurant seats around 180. Therefore communication and teamwork is essential,
as is providing a very high level of customer service.
Interests
University comedy society member – created my own stand-up comedy
-
material and performed at several gigs whilst at university. There is huge
pressure performing your own comedy in front of people, it was terrifying
however I enjoy being out of my comfort zone as it is the only way to develop.
Newcastle-under-Lyme College Students’ Union President – Campaigned
-
successfully to be elected by the students to be the SU President. Executed
several campaigns and fund-raisers working effectively with the Students’
Union executive team. The responsibility was great yet it did not intimidate me
being the voice of the students.
Sports and fitness – It is important for me to keep in shape and eat right,
-
attending the gym, playing football and cooking/eating nutritious food are a
great interest of mine. If you eat well and maintain a decent shape then you
feel good and can have the confidence to flourish.
I have a car and hold a full UK driver’s license with 0 points.
