controller. Platform: 7-axis K-1607i robotic manipulator, Language: C++
• Development and documentation of high-level position control functions for the K-1607i robot
platform using C++.
Research Assistant at University of Florida, January 2007 – May 2010
Gainesville, FL
• Improved harvest efficiency of vision-guided citrus harvesting robot by developing two computer
vision strategies for three dimensional mapping of citrus fruits in the canopy. Coded in C++ and
MATLAB. Platform: K-1207i robotic manipulator.
• Designed and developed automated experimental three dimensional measuring platform.
Developed the control and user interface with LabView.
• Co-led and developed a three-credit, twelve lectures course titled ‘Mechanical, aerospace and
materials engineering’ for precollegiate high school students.
Project Associate at Indian Institute of Technology May 2006 - August 2006
Chennai, India
• Implemented hardware in loop simulation of electronic control unit of diesel engine using
dSPACE microautobox prototyping unit in model based engine control.
Management Trainee at ABB India Ltd July 2005 - April 2006
Nashik, India
• Co-led the production, planning and purchase of Magnetic Actuator production line. Our team
comprised of 14 members achieved company goal to double production of MAs in seven months.
• Improved the performance and safety of outdoor circuit breaker by applying failure mode and
effect analysis. Documented and presented the recommended changes to VP.
Intern at Vikram Sarabhai Space Center January 2004 - June 2004
Trivandrum, India
• Implementation of SCADA system that involved monitoring and interfacing flow, level and gas
sensors.
