PROJECT: Non Destructive Testing of Micro Component SEPT’13 – DEC’13
• Traditional manufacturing and testing techniques studied and applied to micro components by using
scaling laws
• Literature survey carried on the Non-contact testing techniques used for testing micro tools.
PROJECT: Study and analysis of Just in Time system SEPT’13-DEC’13
• In depth analysis of Just in Time lean manufacturing system and study of various lean manufacturing
principles applied to this system.
• Carried out a case study on the Just in Time system used in Harley Davidson Motorcycles and analysed
the various changes incorporated in the system responsible for its success.
PROJECT: Design of a Micro pump SEPT’13-DEC’13
• Carried out a literature review and developed a project proposal regarding the construction and
functioning of a micro pump that is used for pumping the fluids into micro chemical analysers which
consist of micro sensors and micro reactors used for analysing a chemical sample.
• LIGA process was studied as a suitable process which can be employed for the manufacturing of
microstructures with high aspect ratios that are used as metal moulds in injection moulding of plastics
used in the assembly of micro pumps.
PROJECT: Process modelling of Heat dissipation in Disc brakes JAN’14-APRIL’14
• Examined the process parameter’s affecting heat dissipation in disc brakes and created a mathematical
model of the heat dissipation process.
• Suggested suitable design changes and material changes for disc brakes for better heat dissipation and
reduced energy losses.

PROJECT: Design of Solar Powered Air Compressor, Hyderabad, India AUG’12 – APR’13
• Employed the methodology used in new product development which included feasibility test, running
bench runs, preparing blue prints of the assembly and Bill of materials of all the parts.
• Design and analysis of reciprocating compressor driven by solar energy in a primary storage device.
• Design implementation for part assembly and facilitated sourcing of parts and aided in numerical
calculations.
