EXPERIENCE
Outpatient Therapist, 2010-Present; Central Montgomery MH/MR Center,
Norristown, PA
. Provide 1:1 psychotherapy to a case load of 25-30 Mental Health/Drug &
Alcohol clients (adults and adolescents) on a weekly basis in a
community mental health setting that also provides crisis services M-
F, 9am-5pm.
. Ensure treatment plans, releases and case consultations are completed
in a timely fashion.

clients are receiving the appropriate level of care.

. Provided Anger Management counseling for inviduals involved in the
criminal justice system, helping them identify triggers, develop
healthy, adaptive coping mechanisms and develop an individual safety
plan.
. Offered DUI counseling for individuals who have been arrested for DUI
and are referred by the county's DUI Administration office with the
goal of eliminating future incidences, also bringing attention to the
effects of alcohol both on the individual's life and the lives of
those around them. Clients are assessed to determine if further Drug
& Alcohol services are needed and an individual safety plan is
developed.
. Provided SCOH services (Services to Children in their Own Home) to
families with open cases with The Department of Children and Youth
with the goal of preventing placement. The goal of these services is
to foster effective parenting skills necessary to provide adequate
supervision, structure and care of the child (ren).
. Together with a Masters level therapist provided individual and group
counseling to older teenagers who are truant and/or academically
behind. The goal of these services is to assist the students in
determining their future goals, discuss obstacles and help them obtain
a high school diploma. Also, assisted with the coordination and
implementation of an 'Options Fair' held in April 2010 at Norristown
Area High School.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Feeling Blue Suicide Prevention Council - St. David's, PA, 2010
. Assisted the director in updating the Council's wiki space with news
relevant to suicide prevention efforts throughout the country and
world.

The Center for Loss and Bereavement - Skippack, PA, 2010-Current
. Attended 3-day training that focused on loss during childhood and
adolescence. Engaged in interactive learning activities regarding the
loss reactions, experiences, roadblocks, grief stages of these
populations. Also obtained increased awareness of group facilitation
skills and techniques helpful in supporting these children and
adolescence within a group support setting.
. Participated in the centers summer camp, Camp Millie, in June as a
Camp Buddy, where duties will include participating in the days
activities with assigned campers, providing support and encouragement
for the duration of the camp.
. Currently volunteering as a Group Facilitator at Nello's Corner, a bi-
weekly bereavement support group for children ages 6-10.

. Trained and worked under Sandra T. Signmon, Ph.D. Received training
in: psycho-physiological measurements, research ethics, and
questionnaire administration. Duties included: data entry, direct
contact with participants, and coordinating research session
schedules.
