September 2010-Current (Contract Position with Food Lion Headquarters)
Systems Engineer
Working as Systems Engineer. This is a contract position working with the
Active Directory team to remove Administrator permissions from 15,000
nodes. After removal, I must run programs that have stopped working due to
the downgrade to the User group and find why they have broken and if they
can be fixed without re-assigning to the Administrator group and then fix
them.
. Use Process Monitor and LUA Buglight to find program failures.
. Take calls from users with UAC issues and remote into their machines
using Altiris Deployment console.
. Use HP Service Center to find install instructions for user software.
. Create scripts to fix registry issues.
. Use VMware to test different programs on different settings using the
Snapshot feature.
Technical environment: Windows XP, Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Office
2010 and 2007, Process Monitor, LUA Buglight, Altiris, HP Service Center
and VMware.

Managed IT Department for five radio stations in 4 separate
buildings/locations. Maintained websites for each station. Performed
server, desktop and laptop repairs, including software. Maintained networks
and firewalls and load balancers. Maintained mobile devices.
. Moved WSJS from an NT server with no desktop/user security over to
Server 2003 and Active Directory within first 6 months of employment.
Researched servers and prices and was allowed to make the final
decision on hardware.
. Replaced desktops with new Dells after researching, pricing and working
out a deal with Dell.
. Supported 105 users, 8 servers, 122 desktops/laptops and all mobile

. Became the host of the radio show, Computer Talk. Answered listener's
questions on-air. After I joined the show, the sponsor, The Computer
Place saw sales increase as I recommended their services.

. Learned PBX phone system and linked station audio through the "on hold"
system using the punch down panels.
. Added 2 radio stations to our Marketron financial systems over one
