and ALC management. Over 50 cells have been implemented or in process of

Managed lab producing Prescription Safety Eyewear. Hired staff, managed

salaries, developed bonus plans and daily production schedules. Utilized

Lean Techniques promoting Continuous Process Improvement for achieving

financial goals.

. Lab produced 1000 pair of prescription safety eyewear per day from a two-

shift operation.

. Developed process controls, visuals, quality pyramid, preventive

maintenance initiatives and utilized an edging Kaizen to reduce lens

breakage. Achieving a defective rate improvement from 6.5% to 5.6% for

annual savings of $70,000.

. Supported the Line Balancing Tool with Kanban system for supplies,

priority based tray handling, and improved quality practices. Eliminated

critical supply outages and expensive overnight delivery charges.

. Utilized Six Sigma techniques and a Kaizen Event for final inspection

area to reduce returns. Implemented

process changes in final inspection and stockroom improving the return rate

from 1.3% to 0.7%. The 46 reduction

produced $38,000 annual saving.
