Implemented HIV/AIDS Prevention Program
I have designed implemented and researched a high risk HIV/AIDS area in
Columbia, SC.Working with my college we went out to a low poverty
neighborhood in Columbia, SC named Arthur town, which has a high risk or
HIV/AIDS. In this neighborhood many people were not educated on how
HIV/AIDS was contracted. So we made flyers and distributed them out to the
community. As well we started with the church as a platform to launch this
awareness of an HIV prevention program. When there is poverty many people
do not have access to many educational programs. We devised a flyer about
HIV prevention for people in this high-risk area.
