Objective:
To obtain a position with a stable company which aims for the same high
standards that I have set for myself where I can utilize my extensive field
and office experience which includes CAD drafting ability, GPS & Robotic

In my career, I have specialized in large heavy highway projects from
start to finish as well as large boundary and route surveys. I enjoy the
challenge of organizing projects such as these.
Qualifications:
I have been continuously employed in the Land Surveying field for over 20
years, during this time I have acquired many relevant skills including
extensive use of Topcon, Trimble and Magellan GPS, Robotic instruments as
well as most brands of total stations and data collection software. During
the last 7 years I have had the dual responsibility of overall Field Crew
Supervisor as well as Party Chief.
I am also very adept with most office software including several
versions of AutoCad, Land Desktop Development, Carlson, MS Word and Excel.
I have DEP certification in Wetland restoration and delineation as well as
being Certified as Storm Water Pollution Prevention inspector. I also am
certified as a D.O.T. pipeline location operator.

Survey Crew Chief: Survey crew chief for an Engineering firm
specializing in oil/gas pipeline. I am gaining experience in
preliminary pipeline surveys and layout as well as asbuilts along with
the fabrication drawings.
August 2008 - July 2010 - Mountaineer Grading, Clendenin WV
Field Crew Supervisor/Party Chief: During this time with MG I was
responsible for all calculations, layout and asbuilts pertaining to
several DOT projects including 2 sections of Corridor H in Grant
County and US 35 in Putnam Co. as well as gas and oil pipeline work.
This company ceased operations in July 2010.
April 2008- August 2008- Aerotek Engineering
Construction Surveyor
I was employed by Aerotek Engineering on a contract basis to
Kansas City Southern Railway acting as Construction Surveyor on an 85
mile railway project in South Texas which also included a 1,031 acres
shippers facility. This job entailed extensive use of Topcon GPS
system and consisted of all aspects of railroad construction including
research of right of way and val maps. This was a 6 month contract job
and was completed on schedule
June 1998 - April 2008 -Cyrix Engineering, Sarasota, FL
Field Crew Supervisor: Responsible for the daily management of 3
field crews performing all phases of Construction stakeout, Boundary /
Topographic surveys and Asbuilt surveys. I also performed all office
calculations related to the operation of these crews as well as all
CAD drafting associated with the day to day operation of an
Engineering based Survey department including writing all Storm water
Pollution Prevention Plans that accompanied our Engineering design
plans.
1982-1998
I began my survey career while in college at University of Georgia. I
worked for 2 firms between 1982 and 1999.
Technical Skills:
I am very confident and able to calculate, perform and check quality
control on large D.O.T. and heavy highway projects.
Well versed with GPS equipment and software as well as Robotic
instruments.
I have used TDS, SMI, Solofield and TopSurv data collection software
throughout my career.
Skilled with Autocad 2000-2009 as well as Land Desktop Development and
Carlson.
DEP certifications in wetland delineation and restoration.
DOT certification in pipeline location and measurement.
I have had a laptop computer in my field vehicle for several years to
enable in-field calculations and checks.
