Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN November 2007 - January 2011
Senior Analyst Programmer
. Supported the Lawson HR/Payroll 8.1 applications by modifying existing in-
house interface, on-line form and batch report programs.
. Developed a HR/Payroll audit log system for field changes on HR13, BN32
and YC37 forms for 2011 Open Enrollment. The HR13 & BN32 code changes
required user exits because they were Lawson delivered. I also wrote a
on-line program to read the YHHISTORY records generated by the user exits
and YC37 program.
. Applied Lawson CTPs for Lawson 8.1 HR/Payroll & Benefit delivered
programs, wrote Perl & Shell Scripts for handling file processing and
created email & paging documents for all HR/Payroll jobs for the job
processing system.
. Created a new program to generate a flat file which was run thru a EDI
834 map to format the interface file for Delta Dental enrollment..
. Modified the Fidelity interface program to handle terminated and retired
employees who get dropped from their 401k, 403b or 457 plans.
. Modified some in-house programs to update the PA52 program user fields
for employment status changes like termination and retirement. These
programs invoked the PA52 program for data updating for auditing
purposes.
. Wrote a new program to do a forced sale of PTO for 2011(paid out in
2010). It was designed to force employees to sell PTO accumulated beyond
1.5 times annual accrual to eliminate this extra Mayo Clinic expense.
. Wrote a new program to create a flat file for input to a new ePraisal
System for the Mayo Clinic. This file was then reloaded into Lawson and
stored in a in-house generated table.
. Performed independent on-call for HR/Payroll, Finance and Materials jobs
in Lawson every 10 weeks.
. Supported Lawson 8.1 EDI part of Procurement in a backup role. This
involved handling EDI inbound and outbound log issues with some vendor
and other EDI setup.
. Applied Lawson 8.1 Procurement and Financial CTP patches to delivered
programs.
. Used Mercury Test Director software to setup test scripts for the
application programs, perl scripts, shell scripts, stored procedures and
design studio forms being tested.
. Developed new DB2 stored procedures, perl and shell scripts for Lawson
Finance & Materials Applications. Most of these were modified clones of
existing stored procedures or scripts.
. Helped convert the Mayo Clinic from there Integral Legacy Mainframe
HR/Payroll system to Lawson 8.1 HR/Payroll/Benefits system on January 1,
2008(MAGIC project).

. Upgraded Allina's existing EDI Neoforma vendor transmissions to GHX
including ED40 and ED10 setups for Ship To, Company and Department
. Provided all the Allina Lawson 8.1 Application interface testing
including EDI PO transmission, Positive Pay, GL Journal Entry, AP
Invoice, Asset Management and Patient Refund check processes insuring
readiness for Lawson 8.1 rollout on October 2.4, 2005
. Developed several Design Studio Application add-ons for PO64 and PO30 for
the Lawson 8.1 Applications
. Supported the eBroadcast setup and report distribution programs
. Developed a new PCARD interface from Lawson AP to US Bank for determining
if other Allina vendors could be paid with a PCARD
. Developed a new interface for Patient Charging between Lawson IC/PC to
EPIC
. Worked on a dashboard interface project using the Lawson Rules Editor for
handling employee expenses like travel and gifts which carry amount
limitations
. Developed several Crystal Reports using the Lawson 8.1 Inventory Control

. Worked on the metadata versioning control project utilizing the Continuus
Version Control tool
. Developed many new Selects and Drills for the PO, RQ, IC, AP and MA

. As a Build Manager, packaged all Lawson CTPs(Critical Transfer Packs),
MSPs(Maintence Service Packs) with the Continuus Version Control tool and
fixed all Procurement patches for these packages

for the Metropolitan Council. This included expanding date fields in files
to contain century.
