Lockheed-Martin January 2009 – Present

Quality Assurance

Lead a team to perform audits and other software quality tasks on aerospace

projects. The position involved working on multiple projects at the same time in

different phases of the projects.

Process Improvement, Leadership

Maintained business processes in the organization. This position involved using

processes from other projects to improve the organizational best processes

DRS Technologies Feb 2008 – October 2008

Process Improvement, Leadership

Lead an appraisal team to raise the company’s CMMI maturity level. This

position involved a complicated and aggressive mapping of current processes to

best practices in CMMI. Many meetings and presentations were required with

senior management, project managers, leads, and other project engineers.

Led a System/Software Engineering Process Group to improve system and

Green Belt Certifications for Software Problem Reporting and Quality

Management systems. Developed a division wide configuration management and

problem reporting process.

Training Experience

Customized and developed training for the problem reporting and configuration

management tools including Rational Clear Quest and Clear Case.

Group Engineering Development

Led software development on the C-141 (Flight Management and Central Display

Systems) and SMA-1 (I/O Processor with ARINC 429, MIL 1553, and other

protocols) projects. Led the software development from proposal to production

for the Joint Strike Fighter Radar Altimeter factory test equipment. The

communication was interfaced using 1394b and the development was

implemented using C++. Emphasis was on six sigma.

Engineering Development

Developed multiple Radar Altimeter factory test equipment projects in C and C++

including MIL1553 interfaces. Developed on the KC-10 team to integrate the

Central Display System under DO-178B procedures. Developed system and

software requirements for test and health functions on Core Development. I was

awarded a secret clearance.

Process Improvement

Led a division wide development group for software configuration management,

problem reporting, integration, and design tools and processes. Led a CMM Level

3 Assessment project through the Software Engineering Process Group.

Developed guidelines for organization-wide problem reporting system.

Led a software development team. The group developed display functions in

military aircraft under DO-178B procedures.

Group Engineering Development

Led group responsible for developing system requirements and software (from

system design to certification) for a data loading function on the Onboard

Maintenance System for the Boeing 777 aircraft under procedures.

Engineering Development

Developed multiple Radar Altimeter factory test equipment projects. Developed a

Flat Panel Display function developing requirements, software, and test plan

procedures. Worked in I/O groups responsible for developing Flight Management

System (FMS) for Commercial aircraft under DO-178B procedures.
