RELATED EXPERIENCE
IT Work-study, Rhodes State IS Department
Aiding students and faculty with question and problems relating to
software and hardware problems.
Problems mainly involved Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Helped
image newly ordered
computers and installing any needed software applications. Computers
with hardware/software
problems were brought back to the helpdesk, diagnosed, and repaired.
Used remote desktop to diagnose
and repair campus computers able to be fixed in this manner. Sent out
to student labs to diagnose and
repair any network connectivity issues. Problems such as bad NIC's,
faulty cabling, and DCHP IP
address conflicts were common problems. Computer inventory was another
important factor. When
new parts would arrive they were recorded in a database in Microsoft
Access.
(December 2008 - June 2010)
Airfield Systems Journeyman, Ohio Air National Guard
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose radios and associated
equipment to allow aircraft too safely
approach and land at various Air Force bases throughout the Midwestern
United States. Upgraded a
perimeter surveillance system, consisting of pan/tilt/zoom cameras
operating via fiber optics at Buckley
AFB in Aurora, Colorado. Use test equipment such as digital
oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and
digital multi-meters to diagnose and repair the radio systems. Upgraded
the network infrastructure at
the 220th EIS in Zanesville, OH. Consisted of running the new cabling,
activating computer ports, and
verifying connectivity of computers to the network. Once the computers
were installed standard
operational checks were run to make sure the computers adhered to the
military security policies.
(September 2000 to September 2009, Honorable Discharge)
EXEL, Forklift Operator
Diversification was the name of the game my 4+ years here.
Loading/unloading trucks required
verifying the correct product and quantity was present on the pallets we
placed in the truckloads.
Was also a battery associate in charge of changing batteries in
forklifts to maintain production
schedules. We had to maintain a 99.9% accuracy rate to maintain truck
loading responsibilities. At
new Procter and Gamble Distribution center pre-programmed truckloads
were brought to a given
location and loaded in order. The pallets arrived by an electronic
module system. Also,
cycle counted locations to maintain an accurate inventory.
