A leading manufacturer and supplier of chemical-based consumables, steel
strata support systems, associated equipment and services for rock bolting,
ground consolidation, ventilation and water control in the underground
mining, tunneling and civil engineering industries. Minova North America
operates six steel and three chemical manufacturing sites located in 7
states and Canada and has approximately 450 employees and $300 million in
annual revenue. Minova North America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orica
LTD, an Australian publicly traded company with approximately 15,000
employees located in 52 countries and $7 billion in annual revenue.

Reporting to the CEO, manage a staff of 15 with overall responsibility for:
Finance (financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounting policy,
audit, internal controls, tax and treasury management); Mergers &
Acquisitions; Information Technology; Payroll; Insurance; Legal and;

Hilliard Lyons from PNC Financial; managed a $140 million private
placement offering; converted the parent company and all subsidiaries
from a corporation to a LLC partnership.
. Led the development and implementation of profit initiatives that
resulted in $30 million of incremental profitability; revised
compensation plans to meet business needs while reducing expense by $5
million; provided operating flexibility through the restructuring of
covenants for a $50 million credit facility; implemented a pricing and
resource allocation software and consulting system that increased
equity revenue by 10%; reduced finance staff by 40% while increasing
workload capacity and operating efficiency by aligning
responsibilities with skill sets and use of automation.
