During the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill (MC252 Deep-sea Horizon), accomplishments
consisted of the following:
o Oversees the activities and duties of assigned subordinate managers. The
LC ensures coordination of supporting activities with the Response
Operations Section, and the RPIM. The Logistics section is responsible
for materially supporting all units involved in the response and
providing any assistance that is requested. Specifically, they provide
for communications, transportation, manpower supply, food and housing,
spill supplies and equipment, security services, and provide for the

assigned subordinate managers. The LC ensures coordination of supporting
activities with the Response Operations Section, and the RPIM. The

o Developed and maintained an updated file on local service contractors,
catering services, hotel/motels, hospitals, and other service providers
to provide support under contract in the event of an emergency response
event.
o Coordinated the selection of the staging areCoordinate the selection of
the staging area with the RPIM and the Staging Area Manager for
directions in delivery and for off-loading equipment and supplies.
Maintain a log of equipment and supplies ordered and delivered for the
Finance Sectiona with the RPIM and the Staging Area Manager for
directions in delivery for off-loading 500 pieces of equipment and over
1000 line items in supplies.
o Monitored the progress of 30 million dollars of material and service
support to ensure supplies and services were being adequately provided
throughout the spill response.
o Conducted an After Action Review to initiate an After Action Report for
submission to the RPIM concerning quantity and quality of supplies and
services used on the response including responsiveness, an evaluation of
the contractors in fulfillment of their duties, and a summary of the
overall effectiveness of the Logistics Unit in support of the response
o Worked closely with the Finance section to maintain a supply of credit
cards, petty cash, and purchase order forms, and ensured a log of the
supplies ordered and received were submitted to Finance I a timely
manner for validation of payments to suppliers and contractors.

Championed improvement of base life support needs including water
production, sanitation, base housing, equipment maintenance, power

Directed daily operations of material warehousing programs, including
